KAC Stripped Lower, Old Stock August 12, 2017 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from WA United States   Has recessed rings around the takedown pin which require special takedown pins if they are to fit properly.   Regular ones work.  Some uppers have a gap near the rear when installed; all parts are milspec so not sure who is to blame.  Lower has finish that is subpar to Noveske but is on par with most everything else. Out of spec March 30, 2017 Reviewer: KA from United States   I purchased these lowers with full knowledge of the potential cosmetic issues. However, after receiving them it was quickly apparent the mag wells were out of spec. A USGI mag could only be inserted with a good deal of force and took the same amount to get out, PMAGs have the same issue. This goes beyond not dropping free, you can feel the mag bind in the first 1/2" of the mag well. As the lowers were sealed in plastic this was not an issue Small Arms Sales could have known about. KAC is 100% to blame for not ensuring the loweres met quality control standards. Was this review helpful to you?
